The Uttar Pradesh government has intensified preparations for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026. CM Yogi has directed officials to conduct the examination with complete honesty and transparency. He asked authorities to prevent any irregularities and create a safe and stress-free environment for every candidate.
The examination will take place at 955 centres across 60 districts. Around 2 million candidates are expected to appear for the test. Many applicants will also travel from other states to UP. The CM instructed officials to ensure smooth arrangements at railway stations, bus stands, and examination centres. He also asked them to provide proper guidance, transport support, security, and accommodation whenever required.
Special Support for Candidates and Teachers
The state government has decided to keep district control rooms active throughout the examination period. These control rooms will respond quickly to any issue and help ensure smooth coordination.
CM Yogi also announced a special Teacher Eligibility Test for teachers who already work in government service. In addition, serving teachers who will appear for UPTET 2026 on July 2, 3, and 4 will receive special leave. This decision will allow them to take the examination without worrying about their official duties.
Focus on Safety and Candidate Convenience
The CM directed officials to make all examination centres fully prepared before the exam. He asked them to ensure proper security, uninterrupted electricity, clean drinking water, medical facilities, and effective traffic management. He warned that authorities will not tolerate negligence at any level.
The UP government aims to conduct one of the state’s largest recruitment-related examinations in a fair, secure, and well-organised manner. Through these preparations, the government hopes to provide every candidate with equal opportunity and a smooth examination experience.
