About a year after helping six-year-old Vanchi get admission to a school in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave her a special role in a public event. On Tuesday, he invited Vanchi and her younger sister Aachi to inaugurate the newly built Shri Ram Vatika in Moradabad.
A Story That Began at Janata Darshan
Vanchi’s father, Amit Kumar, had struggled for months to secure her admission to a school. In June 2025, he approached the chief minister during the Janata Darshan programme and explained his problem.
Yogi Adityanath immediately directed officials to help the family. The administration completed the process under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, and Vanchi got admission to CL Gupta World School in Moradabad the same day. The quick resolution drew attention across the state.
Vanchi Returns as a Special Guest
Nearly a year later, Vanchi met the chief minister again, but this time she did not come with a complaint. She attended the programme as a special guest.
During the inauguration of Shri Ram Vatika, Yogi Adityanath called Vanchi and her younger sister Aachi to the stage. The two girls cut the ribbon and dedicated the park to the public.
People at the venue welcomed the moment with applause. Many recorded the scene on their phones, and the videos quickly spread on social media.
Projects Worth More Than ₹365 Crore
The chief minister visited Moradabad to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for 63 development projects worth more than ₹365 crore.
The projects cover Moradabad city, Moradabad rural, Kundarki, the Municipal Corporation, and the Moradabad Development Authority. They include works related to urban development, infrastructure, public facilities, and heritage conservation.
Yogi Adityanath said the state government is giving equal importance to development and cultural heritage.
CM Also Spoke on Political Issues
While addressing the public meeting, the CM also spoke on political issues. He responded to Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav’s remarks on Ayodhya and said the double-engine government has already carried out major development work there.
He said the government has improved roads, railway facilities, the airport, and religious tourism infrastructure in Ayodhya. He also said the state is now focusing on the development of the Mathura-Vrindavan region.
