Fresh claims have surfaced against Ruchika Singh, who recently sparked controversy over her objectionable remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a CJP protest. After her video went viral on social media, questions over her identity also gained attention. Now, a salon owner has said that she worked under a fake name while learning nail art.

Speaking to CNN-News18 reporter Simran, the owner of My Time Unisex Salon said Ruchika introduced herself as “Menshil” instead of using her real name. He added that the salon removed her from work last month.

Asked for Aadhaar, Left the Job

Salon owner TP Tripathi identified Ruchika and said she stayed at the salon for nearly two weeks to learn nail art. He said the staff had no idea about her background or mindset.

Tripathi said he later asked Ruchika to submit her Aadhaar card as part of the verification process. She said avoided giving the document despite repeated reminders. He then gave her a final warning and told her she could not continue without valid identification. According to him, the salon removed her on June 9 after she failed to provide the Aadhaar card.

Tripathi also condemned the language Ruchika used against the Prime Minister. He said no one should use such words against the country’s elected leader.

Mother Expresses Regret

Ruchika’s family has also reacted to the controversy. Salon co-owner Shalini said she spoke to Ruchika’s mother over the phone after the incident.

According to Shalini, Ruchika’s mother expressed deep regret over her daughter’s actions. She said the family felt ashamed and saddened by the incident. She also apologised because the controversy had dragged the salon’s name into the public debate.

Shalini said Ruchika’s mother asked them to stay safe and informed them that the family had already submitted a written apology to the police.

Salon Co-Owner Demands Public Apology

Shalini said Ruchika should come forward and apologise publicly. She added that Ruchika should address both the media and the people of the country and take responsibility for her remarks. According to her, only a public apology can help answer the questions raised after the controversy.
