The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has introduced a major change in its recruitment process. Candidates will now have to complete a One-Time Registration (OTR) before applying for any future UPSSSC recruitment. The commission started the new OTR portal on July 14 to make the application process faster and simpler. It has also extended the validity of the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) score from one year to three years.
OTR Mandatory for All Future Recruitments
Every candidate who wants to apply for UPSSSC jobs must first complete the OTR process. After successful registration, the system will generate a unique OTR number. Candidates will use this number while applying for future recruitment exams. OTR is free of cost and candidates need to register only once. However, they must submit a separate application whenever a new recruitment notification is released.
PET Score Valid for Three Years
UPSSSC has increased the validity of the PET score from one year to three years. This means candidates can use the same PET score for multiple recruitment drives during this period. The move will reduce the need to appear for the PET every year and make the recruitment process easier for job seekers.
Details Can not Be Changed Later
Candidates must fill in all personal and educational details carefully during OTR registration. Once they submit the registration, they cannot edit the information later. The commission has advised applicants to verify every detail before final submission.
How the New System Will Help
The OTR system will store a candidate’s personal details, educational qualifications, photograph and signature in a digital profile. This will save time during future applications because candidates will not need to enter the same information repeatedly. The commission expects the new system to reduce errors and speed up the recruitment process.
Documents Needed for OTR
Candidates should keep their mobile number, email ID, photograph, signature and educational details ready before starting the registration. Aadhaar and category certificates may also be required, depending on the candidate’s eligibility. The commission has asked candidates to complete OTR well before any recruitment notification to avoid last-minute problems.
