Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday (July 10) visited Ayodhya and launched a sharp attack on the Samajwadi Party and the Congress over the Ram Temple donation theft controversy. Addressing a public gathering, Yogi defended the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and said a few accused cannot become the reason to defame the entire trust or the city of Ayodhya. He said the state government acted immediately after receiving complaints and ordered an SIT probe.

‘Action Against Guilty, Not Against Faith’

The Chief Minister said around 150 people handled the counting of temple donations, but the investigation found evidence against only a handful of individuals. He said the law will punish every guilty person, but opposition parties should not use the incident to target the trust or hurt the faith of millions of devotees. He added that the government has taken strict action and the investigation will continue.

Sharp Attack on SP and Congress

CM Yogi accused the Samajwadi Party and the Congress of practising appeasement politics and disrespecting Hindu beliefs. He claimed that during their rule, namaz was allowed at Hanumangarhi and alleged that both parties repeatedly insulted Sanatan traditions. He said those who now question the Ram Temple have always opposed the sentiments of devotees.

Opposition Using Issue for Politics: Yogi

The Chief Minister alleged that the opposition has tried to turn an isolated criminal case into a political campaign against the Ram Temple. He said the truth will emerge through the SIT investigation and urged people not to fall for what he described as misleading political narratives. Yogi also said the BJP government will continue to protect both law and public faith without compromise.
