UP CM Yogi Adityanath launched a sharp attack on the opposition while inaugurating and laying the foundation stones for 14 development projects worth over ₹995 crore in Gorakhpur. Addressing a public gathering, he accused opposition parties of changing their stand on issues of faith and said people know their political history.
‘Those Who Opposed Ram Temple Now Claim to Defend Faith’
Yogi said those who once opposed the construction of the Ram Temple now present themselves as the biggest supporters of faith and Sanatan Dharma. He alleged that the same leaders had created hurdles in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, ordered firing on Ram devotees, and supported legal efforts against the temple in the Supreme Court.
He said people have not forgotten these events and can clearly identify those who stood against public sentiment.
UP Has Moved From Riots to Development, Says Yogi
Highlighting his government’s achievements, the CM said UP has transformed over the years. He said the state was once known for riots and lawlessness, but now has an identity based on development, investment, and good governance.
Yogi said his government works without discrimination and focuses on improving infrastructure, creating jobs, and attracting investment. He added that Uttar Pradesh is moving rapidly towards becoming one of India’s leading economies.
Development, Security and Heritage Remain Top Priorities
The Chief Minister said his government’s priorities include development, public safety, and the protection of the state’s cultural heritage. He said the government continues to invest in roads, healthcare, education, and other public infrastructure to improve people’s lives.
He added that these projects will strengthen regional development and support the state’s long-term growth.
