The administration in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal district has started preparations for action against a mosque that officials say stands on government land. The case relates to the Mustafa Qadri Mosque in Kaserua village under the Nakhasa police station area.
According to officials, the mosque covers around 120 square metres of land. During an initial investigation, authorities found that the structure was built on government property without legal permission. After the findings, the concerned departments began the process for further action.
Special Team Formed for Investigation and Demolition Process
Tehsildar Dhirendra Kumar has formed a special team to handle the matter. The team will identify the extent of the alleged illegal construction and oversee the demolition process if required.
Officials have directed the team to follow all legal procedures before taking any action. The administration is also reviewing land records and other documents related to the site.
Authorities Stress Rule of Law
Local officials have said that they do not allow any illegal construction on government land, regardless of the nature of the structure. They added that the administration removes such encroachments according to existing rules and regulations.
The administration has also made it clear that it will carry out any action within the framework of the law. To maintain peace and order during the process, authorities may deploy additional police personnel if necessary.

Final Decision After Document Review
Officials continue to examine all relevant records and documents. The administration will take a final decision after completing the verification process.
For now, the administration has maintained a firm position against illegal occupation of government land. Authorities say they will continue to act against encroachments and unauthorised constructions in line with government policy and legal provisions.
In recent years, the Yogi Government has been very vigilant towards any illegal encroachment and has taken action to make the land free. This anti-encroachment drive is part of that effort to take illegally occupied government land back for the public good.
