Noida is set to get a major green attraction with the development of a 29-acre Lake Park in Sector 167. The project will feature the city’s first and largest man-made lake park, offering recreational facilities, green spaces, and tourism opportunities. CM Yogi laid the foundation stone for the project last Saturday (June27).
29-Acre Park to Transform Sector 167
The new Lake Park will cover 29 acres in Sector 167. A 10-acre lake will form the centerpiece of the project. The Noida Authority plans to build the park at an estimated cost of ₹21 crore.
Officials have already completed the design, and the tender process will begin soon. The project aims to create a modern recreational space while improving the city’s green cover.
Elevated Tracks to Offer Lake Views
The park will include two elevated tracks that will allow visitors to walk over the lake and enjoy scenic views from the middle of the water.
Officials expect these walkways to become one of the park’s biggest attractions and provide visitors with a unique experience.
Thousands of Trees to Improve the Environment
The Noida Authority plans to develop the park as a “Life Breath Jungle” with a strong focus on environmental conservation.
The project includes the plantation of thousands of traditional trees. These include 2,294 banyan trees, 2,900 peepal trees, 3,800 neem trees, 3,240 pilkhan trees, and 1,590 tamarind trees.
The authority will also create an Oxygen Valley to improve air quality and provide a healthier environment for residents.
Modern Facilities for Visitors
The park will offer several facilities for visitors of all age groups. An open parking area with space for around 1,000 vehicles will come up near the main entrance.
Visitors will also have access to a natural walking trail, a cycling track, an open gym, a central plaza, fountains, and a dedicated children’s play area.
The authority also plans to develop a food street where visitors can enjoy a variety of food and refreshments.
New Tourism and Recreation Hub
Additional Chief Executive Officer Vandana Tripathi said the project aims to create a world-class recreational destination in Noida. Along with promoting tourism, the Lake Park will improve the city’s environment by adding large green spaces and increasing tree cover.
Once completed, the project is expected to become one of Noida’s biggest public attractions and offer residents a new place for leisure, fitness, and outdoor activities.
