On Thursday (May 7), Lucknow witnessed another employment push as UP CM Yogi Adityanath handed over appointment letters to 481 newly selected candidates under PM Narendra Modi’s Mission Rozgar. Till now, UP has given more than 9 lakhs jobs under the PM Mission Rozgar. The event took place in Lucknow and underlined the state government’s continuing focus on public sector recruitment.
The newly appointed candidates were selected through the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) and the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC). According to the official details, 202 candidates joined the Ayush Department, 272 candidates entered the Vocational Education and Skill Development Department, and 7 candidates were selected for the Divyangjan Empowerment Department.
Speaking at the programme, the CM said the appointments reflected the transparent and sensitive policies of the double-engine government. He said more than 9 lakh youths have already received government appointment letters in UP so far. He described this as a major achievement and said the government remains committed to creating fair opportunities for young people.
Yogi Adityanath also congratulated the newly selected candidates and asked them to discharge their responsibilities with honesty, dedication and commitment. He said their work would play an important role in strengthening the vision of a developed India and a developed UP.
Appointments Across Key Departments
The recruitment covered several important posts across departments. In the Ayush Department, selected candidates included professors, readers, staff nurses and medical officers. In the Vocational Education and Skill Development Department, candidates were appointed as instructors. The Divyangjan Empowerment Department also received new staff through the selection process.
The CM underlined that the recruitment process remained merit-based and free from discrimination. He said the state government has worked to ensure that deserving candidates get opportunities according to their ability and qualifications.
The event also carried political importance. It shows UP now follows a cleaner and more transparent system than before.Corruption is almost absent in government recruitment. Officials said such recruitment drives not only provide employment but also improve the delivery of public services in important sectors like healthcare, education and social welfare.

Mission Rozgar and Uttar Pradesh’s Employment Push
Mission Rozgar has become one of the key employment initiatives of the UP government. Under this programme, the state regularly fills vacancies in government departments and speeds up the recruitment process. Since its launch, Mission Rozgar has emerged as a major platform for employment generation in the state, and the government continues to present it as an important step towards youth empowerment and long-term development in UP.
