The UP government has launched a special campaign to help more people get Ayushman Cards. People who have not yet made their cards can now get them free of cost. The government is also offering the facility to all senior citizens above 70 years of age.
To make the campaign successful, special health camps are being organised in villages, blocks, and districts across the state. At these camps, officials identify eligible people, complete their registration, and issue Ayushman Cards.
The Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) is a health insurance scheme of the central government. Under the scheme, eligible beneficiaries can receive cashless treatment of up to ₹5 lakh at listed government and private hospitals. The scheme aims to reduce the financial burden of expensive medical treatment on poor and needy families.

People should first check whether their names are included in the list of eligible beneficiaries. If eligible, they can visit a nearby Common Service Centre (CSC), government hospital, Ayushman centre, or health camp to get their card.
Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak said that a special campaign to make Ayushman Cards is running from May 15 to August 14, 2026. During this period, eligible people can easily get their cards made at nearby health camps.
The Deputy CM also said that all citizens above 70 years of age can get an Ayushman Card. Senior citizens can visit the nearest health camp with the required documents to complete the process. The card will help them get financial support for the treatment of serious illnesses and improve access to healthcare services.
