Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief and Uttar Pradesh minister Om Prakash Rajbhar launched a sharp attack on Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav over an incident reported in Basti district. He said that the Samajwadi Party’s politics of appeasement had started hurting its own traditional support base.
Rajbhar made the remarks in a post on the social media platform X. He used the Basti incident to criticise the SP leadership and its political strategy.
Rajbhar’s Allegations Against Akhilesh Yadav
In his post, Rajbhar addressed Akhilesh Yadav directly and wrote, “Akhilesh Yadav ji, look at the result of your Muslim appeasement politics.”
He said that a man identified as “Ashfaq” kicked a pregnant woman from a Yadav family in Basti and attempted to harm her unborn child. Rajbhar further alleged that the Yadav family had to leave its home and was preparing to migrate because of the incident.
He compared the situation to the migration controversy in Kairana and said such incidents would not continue because Uttar Pradesh is now under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
‘MY Formula Has Turned Against Yadavs,’ Says Rajbhar
Rajbhar also referred to the Samajwadi Party’s traditional “MY” (Muslim-Yadav) social alliance. He alleged that the Muslim component had become dominant and that Yadavs were now suffering because of it.
He used the phrase “PDA” in a political attack on the SP and claimed that Yadavs were no longer benefiting from the alliance. Rajbhar also said he wished late SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav were alive to witness the current situation.
He ended his post by accusing Akhilesh Yadav of taking appeasement politics too far and making several political remarks against the Samajwadi Party’s leadership.
