Security agencies swung into action after staff found a suspicious handwritten note at Rajarshi Dashrath Medical College in Ayodhya. Officials claim the paper contained information allegedly related to making explosives. The note surfaced in the X-ray department, prompting the college administration to immediately inform the police.
Investigators traced the inquiry to Sarfaraz, a paramedical student from Balrampur. Officers from the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), the intelligence department and the police have questioned him for several hours. According to sources, investigators are conducting the questioning in isolation to examine every aspect of the case.
Other Students Also Under Scanner
Late at night, police also questioned staff members who were on duty with Sarfaraz. During the investigation, officers detained another student, Abhishek, from the hospital campus for questioning. Investigators are also searching for one more student who was reportedly present at the scene when the incident took place.
No Arrests Yet, Investigation Continues
Police have not officially confirmed any arrest or filed charges against anyone so far. Officials say they will draw conclusions only after completing the investigation. The Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) of the medical college said the administration informed the police immediately after discovering the suspicious note. He added that the college is following standard operating procedures (SOP) and extending full cooperation to the investigating agencies.
Police say they are examining every angle of the case because of its sensitive nature. Investigators want to determine who wrote the note, why it was written and whether anyone else played a role. Authorities say further action will depend on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
