On Sunday (June 14), the Ghaziabad administration intensified its crackdown on illegal encroachments by demolishing an illegally constructed mazar in the Tronica City police station area of Loni.
Authorities said the structure stood on government land owned by UPSIDA and violated land-use regulations.
Bulldozer Action Under Heavy Security
Officials carried out the demolition in Sector C-1 amid tight security arrangements. The administration sealed the area before the operation and deployed more than 400 police personnel to prevent any disturbance.
Senior administrative and police officers remained present throughout the exercise. The operation concluded without any reported resistance or law-and-order issues.
Government Land Freed From Encroachment
According to officials, the mazar had been constructed illegally on government property. The administration removed the structure as part of an ongoing campaign against unauthorised occupations of public land.
Authorities said that they would continue identifying and clearing illegal constructions across the district.
Crackdown Intensifies After Surya Chauhan Murder Case
The latest action comes as the district administration remains in an aggressive enforcement mode following the Surya Chauhan murder case in Khoda.
Along with verification drives against criminal elements, officials have launched a broader campaign targeting illegal properties and unauthorised structures.
In recent weeks, authorities sealed five illegal madrasas, demolished an illegal madrasa in Dasna, and removed 14 illegally built shops near a mosque in Modinagar.

Administration Sends a Clear Warning
Joint Magistrate and Loni SDM Deepak Singhanwal said the operation formed part of a district-wide campaign against illegal encroachments. He stated that the administration was acting under the directives of the state government and the leadership of District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mandar.
He warned that authorities would not tolerate encroachments on government land and would take strict action against violators.
Legal Action Against Those Responsible
DCP Rural Surendra Nath Tiwari said officials followed due legal procedure before removing the illegal structure.
He added that authorities would identify the individuals responsible for the unauthorised construction and initiate legal proceedings against them.
More Demolitions Likely
Officials described the demolition as another major step in Ghaziabad’s ongoing anti-encroachment drive. The administration has indicated that similar action will continue against all illegal constructions and occupations of public land across the district.
