Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief and UP minister Om Prakash Rajbhar has strongly condemned the objectionable social media posts made against Aditi Yadav, daughter of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav. However, while expressing support for Aditi, Rajbhar also launched a sharp attack on Akhilesh Yadav and SP workers.
Rajbhar wrote, “Aditi Yadav is also like a daughter to me. But what can I say about Akhilesh Yadav? He is a leader of Twitter, air-conditioned rooms, and computers. There is no seriousness. Whoever among the red and green cap-wearing supporters made objectionable comments against Aditi has committed a shameful act.”
He further said that this is also the time for Akhilesh Yadav and SP workers to introspect. According to Rajbhar, SP supporters often insult people whom they consider socially or economically weaker. He claimed that he himself has been a victim of abuse by Akhilesh Yadav’s supporters on social media and alleged that offensive remarks against him and his family are regularly circulated online.
Rajbhar also said that the person responsible for the offensive comments against Aditi Yadav could turn out to be an SP supporter. He said such behaviour reflects the political culture within the party. Referring to past statements by SP leaders, he questioned their commitment to respecting women.
Taking another swipe at Akhilesh Yadav, Rajbhar mentioned that the name of a person called Vinod Kumar Yadav has also surfaced in the case. He apologised to Aditi Yadav for the offensive remarks made against her and said that politics has been pushed into an unfortunate direction by certain privileged leaders.
What Is the Case?
The controversy began after an allegedly false and objectionable post was shared on a social media platform on June 9 from an account named Bharat Kumar Patel. The post reportedly contained allegations related to theft and criminal activities and included an edited photograph. Samajwadi Party leaders claimed that the post was intended to damage Aditi Yadav’s reputation.
A case has been registered at the Cyber Crime Police Station in Kanpur. According to the FIR, Samajwadi Party Advocate Sabha National President Praveen Yadav filed the complaint. Bharat Kumar Patel, Nageshwar Singh Baghel, and Vinod Kumar Yadav have been named in the FIR. They have been booked under Sections 79 and 336(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 66E of the IT Act.
