CM Yogi Offers Condolences

During the visit, CM Yogi met Aparna Yadav and other members of the family. He expressed grief over the sudden death and assured the family of his support during the difficult time. Senior leaders, including Suresh Khanna, Dimple Yadav and Shivpal Singh Yadav, also reached the residence to pay tribute.

In a post on X, CM Yogi said he visited Aparna Yadav’s residence, paid homage to Prateek Yadav and prayed for strength for the bereaved family.

Postmortem Report Reveals Cause of Death

Doctors at Lucknow Medical College conducted the postmortem examination later in the day. The report confirmed cardiac arrest as the immediate cause of death. Medical experts also found large blood clots in the lungs.

According to doctors, the clots blocked blood flow in the lungs and severely affected breathing and heart function. The condition, known as pulmonary thromboembolism, can become life-threatening within minutes if treatment does not begin in time.

Doctors preserved samples from the heart and lungs for further examination. They also sent internal organs for chemical analysis to rule out any other complications. The medical team stated that all injury marks found on the body appeared to be pre-existing and not related to any external assault.

Funeral to Take Place in Lucknow

After the postmortem, family members brought Prateek Yadav’s body back home. His last rites will take place on Thursday at 12:30 PM at Pipra Ghat in Lucknow.

Aparna Yadav returned to Lucknow from Assam soon after receiving the news. She had travelled there to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
