A man from Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly called Dial 112 and threatened to kill Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath within 24 hours. Police acted immediately after receiving the alert and tracked down the caller with the help of surveillance. The accused, identified as Anil Kumar, now faces legal action.
Police Trace Caller Through Surveillance
The incident took place in the Bhojipura police station area. According to police, Anil Kumar, a resident of Ghanghora village, made the threatening call to Dial 112 on July 31.
After the control room received the threat, Dial 112 officials informed the local police. Senior officers formed three teams to identify and locate the caller. Police used surveillance to trace the phone and arrested Anil Kumar from his village.
Accused Pleads for Forgiveness After Arrest
Police brought Anil Kumar to the police station after his arrest. Officers said he folded his hands and repeatedly apologised. He admitted his mistake and pleaded for forgiveness. He also promised that he would never make such threatening calls again.
Police Say Accused Has Criminal Background
Police said Anil Kumar has a criminal history and is known for his aggressive behaviour. Officers are now investigating the case and gathering more evidence.
Legal Action Underway
Police have started legal proceedings against the accused. They said they take threats against the Chief Minister very seriously and will continue to act swiftly against anyone who tries to spread fear through such calls.
