On Saturday (July 25) Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi attacked the Congress and the Samajwadi Party over the NEET paper leak issue. He said the “exam mafia” grew under previous governments and promised strict action against those involved in cheating and paper leaks.
Addressing a public meeting in Fatehpur, the Chief Minister said both the Centre and the Uttar Pradesh government would act firmly against the exam mafia.
“The exam mafia is the legacy of the Congress and Samajwadi Party governments. We will take the strictest action against them and wipe them out,” he said.
Yogi Targets the Previous SP Government
Yogi Adityanath claimed that recruitment drives between 2012 and 2016 remained controversial. He alleged that merit did not matter during that period, and many deserving candidates failed to get government jobs.
Without naming Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, the Chief Minister accused the “Saifai Syndicate” of exploiting job aspirants.
He said whenever a government recruitment opened, “the uncle-nephew duo” would collect money from candidates instead of ensuring a fair selection process.
Highlights the Government’s Recruitment Record
The Chief Minister said the situation changed after the BJP came to power in Uttar Pradesh in 2017.
He said the state government has provided more than 9 lakh government jobs to young people since then. He also said the BJP-led Central government has taken several important steps over the last 12 years to protect the interests of students.
Says Congress, SP Showing ‘Crocodile Tears’
Yogi Adityanath also criticised the Congress and the Samajwadi Party for protesting over the NEET paper leak.
He said the parties that “ruined the future of students” and “exploited the youth” are now pretending to support them.
“The same Congress and Samajwadi Party are shedding crocodile tears for students today,” he said.
Praises PM Modi’s Decisions
The Chief Minister praised PM Narendra Modi for taking quick decisions after the NEET paper leak controversy.
He said the Centre introduced tough legal provisions against paper leak and exam fraud. According to Yogi, the law provides for up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to ₹10 crore for those who tamper with examination systems.
Yogi Reviews Development Projects in Fatehpur
Yogi Adityanath visited Madaripur Kala in Fatehpur on Saturday, where he inaugurated several development projects and addressed a public gathering.
He claimed that earlier governments ignored Fatehpur’s development. He alleged that funds meant for the district were diverted by the “Saifai Syndicate” and spent on entertainment programmes instead of public welfare.
The Chief Minister said his government remains committed to ensuring that development funds reach the people and are used for public benefit.
