CM Yogi Says Chhangur Baba’s Illegal Network Destroyed, Declares ‘Mafia and Mosquitoes Will Not Survive’

Referring to the recent action against Chhangur Baba, who was arrested for allegedly running a religious conversion racket, the Chief Minister said the government has taken strict action against criminals.

On Tuesday (July 21), Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 83 development projects worth more than ₹396 crore in Shravasti. Addressing a public meeting, he highlighted the state’s development, law and order, transparent recruitment process, and action against crime.

‘Zero Tolerance Has Made UP Safer’

CM Yogi said his government follows a zero-tolerance policy against crime. He claimed this approach has made Uttar Pradesh safer for women and traders.

Referring to the recent action against Chhangur Baba, who was arrested for allegedly running a religious conversion racket, the Chief Minister said the government has taken strict action against criminals. He said authorities demolished properties linked to Chhangur’s illegal activities after his arrest in Balrampur.

The Chief Minister said anyone who threatens the safety of women or traders has only two options left—”jail or jahannum.”

CM Yogi Targets Previous Governments Over Jobs

The Chief Minister accused previous governments of corruption in government recruitment. He said jobs were once given through recommendations and bribery under what he called the “Saifai Syndicate.”

He also took a political swipe at the previous leadership and said recruitment lacked transparency before 2017.

CM Yogi said his government has changed the system. According to him, Uttar Pradesh has provided government jobs to around nine lakh youths without recommendations or illegal payments. He added that young people from Shravasti are also receiving appointment letters through a fair selection process.

Development and Welfare Remain Government’s Focus

The Chief Minister said the newly launched projects will improve infrastructure and public services in Shravasti. He said the government is working to bring development to every district while ensuring transparency and good governance.

He directed officials to increase patrolling in vulnerable areas. He also asked the administration to provide houses to poor families whose homes do not have proper doors.

The Chief Minister advised people to remain alert at night, avoid sending children into sensitive forest areas, and carry a sturdy stick while going outside. He said these precautions can help protect human lives without harming wildlife or biodiversity.
