Uttar Pradesh Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar has strongly criticised Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav over his recent remarks on the Ram Temple. Rajbhar said Akhilesh should first visit Lord Ram’s temple in Ayodhya before making any statement on the issue. He claimed people across the country know that the SP chief has not visited the temple, so they no longer take his comments seriously.
Rajbhar said the Ram Temple came up after a long struggle. He accused Akhilesh Yadav and other opposition leaders of hurting the faith of millions through their remarks. According to him, such statements disrespect the sentiments of devotees instead of respecting them.
‘Talk About Social Justice, Jobs and Education’
Rajbhar also questioned the Samajwadi Party’s political priorities. He said Akhilesh Yadav speaks only about the Ram Temple but avoids issues such as social justice. He asked why the SP does not discuss the Rohini Commission or raise matters related to education, healthcare and employment.
He said opposition leaders should focus on jobs and public welfare instead of making repeated comments on the Ram Temple. Rajbhar added that such discussions would help them understand the work being done by the government.
Rajbhar Revives JPNIC Corruption Allegation
Earlier, Rajbhar also targeted Akhilesh Yadav through a post on social media. He said he saw the Jayaprakash Narayan International Centre (JPNIC) while travelling in Lucknow, and it reminded him of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan. He claimed that the socialist leader would feel disappointed if he saw what happened in his name.

Rajbhar alleged that a building originally estimated at around ₹200 crore ended up costing nearly ₹860 crore and stillremained incomplete. He accused the previous Samajwadi Party government of corruption and said the project dishonoured the legacy of Jayaprakash Narayan.
‘People Rejected Corruption’
Continuing his attack, Rajbhar said the spirit of Jayaprakash Narayan had cursed those who misused his name for corruption. He claimed this was the reason Akhilesh Yadav has remained out of power for the past nine years and would not return to office in the future.
He urged Akhilesh Yadav to respect the legacy of national leaders instead of linking their names with corruption. Rajbhar also said that every visit to the JPNIC should remind the former chief minister of the allegations surrounding the project and encourage self-reflection.
