UP CM Yogi Adityanath launched the Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Health Scheme in Varanasi on Wednesday. He also addressed teachers and education officials at the event. He said education plays a key role in nation-building and teachers carry the responsibility of shaping the country’s future.

‘No one has the right to play with the country’s future’

Speaking at the event, Yogi said no one has the right to compromise with the country’s future or its unity. He said India needs teachers who follow the ideals of great scholars such as Chanakya, Madan Mohan Malaviya and Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He added that strong teachers build a strong nation and help protect it from external threats.

Hits out at past education system

The Chief Minister said Uttar Pradesh’s education system suffered because some people used it for their own interests. Without naming anyone, he referred to an old political remark that described cheating in examinations as a “birthright.” He said such thinking damaged education and harmed the future of students.
