The UP police are continuing their strict drive against criminals. Police forces fought encounters with criminals in four different districts. Police arrested several wanted criminals after gunfights in Bareilly, Agra, Gonda, and Amethi.
The Yogi Government looks very strict and aggressive on criminals, by which they want to eliminate crime in UP.
Bareilly: Two Robbers Arrested
Police faced two criminals near Devipur market in the Baheri area of Bareilly. During the encounter, a police bullet hit a criminal named Omkar. Police injured him and took him into custody. His partner, Karan Maurya, tried to speed away on a motorcycle. However, he fell off the bike and suffered injuries.
Both criminals are young, aged 22 and 23. Police were searching for them for a recent crime. The duo had robbed a pedestrian just four days ago.
Agra: Murder Suspect Shot and Caught
In Agra, police trapped a murder suspect on the Bateshwar Parikrama Road. The suspect, Manu Nishad, received a bullet wound to his leg during the gunfight. Police shifted him to a hospital for treatment.
On June 10, Manu robbed and killed a woman from his own village. Police recovered the stolen jewellery, a motorcycle without a number plate, a country-made pistol, and live cartridges from him.
Gonda: Inter-District Theft Gang Busted
Gonda police surrounded an inter-district gang of thieves in the Colonelganj area. A criminal named Ram Chander took a bullet to his leg during the encounter. Police also arrested his two associates, Naeem and Chand Babu, from the spot.

Police seized 93,000 Rupees in cash, 11 grams of gold, and 1.1 kilograms of silver from the thieves. They also recovered an illegal pistol and ammunition.
Amethi: Reward-Carrying Robber Wounded
An encounter took place near Gangaram Purwa turn in the Jais area of Amethi. Police shot a wanted criminal named Imran in the leg. Imran carried a reward of 25,000 Rupees on his head. Police rushed him to the hospital.
On June 2, Imran and his gang held a woman hostage inside her house and robbed her. Police had already sent his two partners to jail earlier. Police recovered stolen jewellery and weapons from Imran.
