A 31-year-old Hindu woman from Indore has accused several people of forcing her into religious conversion, repeated marriages, sexual abuse and halala over a period of nearly 13 years.

The woman filed a police complaint on May 5 at the Ankur Vihar Police Station in Ghaziabad.

According to the complaint, the woman first came in contact with a man through Facebook in 2012 while she was studying BBA. The man introduced himself as “Naveen Rana.” Later, she allegedly discovered that his real name was Naved.

Friendship Through Facebook Turned Into Alleged Trap

The woman said Naved visited her in Indore and gained her trust. In 2013, he asked her to come to Delhi. From there, he allegedly took her to a madrasa in Muzaffarnagar.

She claimed that Naved suddenly left the madrasa saying his mother had met with an accident. Soon after, she allegedly learned his real identity. The woman said people at the madrasa then kept her captive and pressured her to convert to Islam.

She alleged that cleric Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui forced her to change her religion and wear a burqa. When she resisted, people beat her and threatened her.

Forced Marriage and Abuse

The woman said she spent several months in madrasas in Meerut and Muzaffarnagar. Later, people allegedly forced her to marry a man named Abdul Rahman, who was around 25 years older than her.

She accused Abdul Rahman of repeatedly raping and assaulting her. She claimed he beat her badly whenever she refused to follow religious practices or protested against the abuse.

After about two months, Abdul Rahman allegedly gave her triple talaq and sent her back to the cleric.

Allegations of Halala and Multiple Nikahs

The woman claimed she had to spend three months in iddat after the divorce. After that, people allegedly took her to a madrasa in Jaipur, where she said she faced halala and sexual abuse.

Later, another man named Mudassir allegedly married her and took her to Gujarat. She lived there until his death in 2019.

After Mudassir’s death, she came in contact with another cleric named Qari Aslam. She alleged that he shifted her between different places, including Delhi, Saharanpur and Baghpat.

In Baghpat, she allegedly married Khalid Hussain. According to the complaint, Khalid later divorced her and demanded halala before remarrying her. She accused Khalid, his relatives and others of forcing her into another marriage and sexually assaulting her.

The woman said she eventually escaped and approached BJP MLA Nand Kishor for help.

FIR Filed Against 16 People

The woman has named 16 people in her complaint, including Naved, Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui, Abdul Rahman, Qari Aslam, Khalid Hussain and others.

She has accused them of forced religious conversion, rape, illegal confinement, physical assault, repeated nikahs, halala and criminal intimidation.

Police said they have registered a case and started an investigation. Officials confirmed that one accused, Khalid Hussain, has already been arrested and sent to jail.

According to police, the woman lived in several cities over the years, so investigators are verifying the locations and details mentioned in her statement.
