The Uttar Pradesh government has imposed a complete ban on strikes for the next six months. Appointment and Personnel Principal Secretary M. Devaraj issued a notification and circulated it to all departments.
According to the notification, the decision has been taken under the provisions of the Uttar Pradesh Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) 1966. The order applies to all offices, corporations, and local authorities under the state government. During this period, no employee in these establishments will be allowed to participate in any form of strike.
Meanwhile, today (December 11) is the last day to apply for free residential coaching for the PCS Main Examination. As part of the government’s initiative to support youth empowerment, eight free residential coaching centres and 150 Chief Minister Abhyudaya Coaching Centres are helping candidates prepare for competitive exams and secure employment.
Male candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes with an annual family income of up to six lakh rupees are eligible to apply until December 12. So far, 23,801 candidates have registered at the 150 Abhyudaya Coaching Centres across Uttar Pradesh this year.
The Social Welfare Department has arranged free residential coaching for PCS Main aspirants at the Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj Research and Training Institute in Gomtinagar, Lucknow.
