Flag-Hoisting Festival Begins in Ayodhya Today with Kalash Yatra; PM Modi to Join the Ceremony on the 25th

The city, immersed in a religious and cultural ambience, is being adorned with dazzling lights, flowers, and magnificent rangolis. Crowds of devotees are visible everywhere, with chants resonating in the air.

Ayodhya, the revered city of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram, is set to witness yet another grand, spiritual, and glorious celebration from today. With the Kalash Yatra, the flag-hoisting festival will commence on Thursday (November 20). The rituals of the ceremony will begin on the 21st, and on November 25, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist the flag atop the 191-foot temple spire.

Ayodhya Prepares for a Grand Flag-Hoisting Ceremony

Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Ayodhya is being beautifully decorated for the occasion. The event will begin with the Kalash Yatra on November 20, on the sacred day of Margashirsha Amavasya, and conclude on November 25 during the auspicious Vivah Panchami muhurat.

The city, immersed in a religious and cultural ambience, is being adorned with dazzling lights, flowers, and magnificent rangolis. Meanwhile, crowds of devotees are visible everywhere, with chants resonating in the air. Additionally, morning and evening hymns and Vedic recitations have filled the atmosphere with spiritual purity.

Furthermore, Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said on Wednesday that this event is set to become a majestic symbol of Indian culture and unity. Moreover, prominent saints, scholars, politicians, social workers, and devotees from across the country have been invited.

From November 23 to 25, a series of special programs will be held, including cultural performances, folk dances, musical events, and special rituals at six small temples and the Sapt Mandir complex. Over 551 women will participate in the Kalash Yatra, and 151 Vedic students will lead the procession carrying flags.

According to District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram, extensive security arrangements have been made in Ayodhya. CCTV surveillance, drone monitoring, traffic control systems, and emergency response teams have been deployed.
