Dr Shaheen was reportedly involved in a conspiracy to lead young people down the path of terrorism. She was allegedly brainwashing both medical students and Muslim patients. According to ATS sources, initial investigations have found evidence of Shaheen’s activities.
Terror Links of Doctors Exposed Again
This is not the first time doctors’ involvement in terrorism has surfaced. In August 2024, Delhi Police, along with UP ATS and the Rajasthan and Jharkhand Police, busted a major terror network. At that time, Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed from Ranchi — the alleged mastermind of the gang — was arrested. Intelligence agencies had exposed a module of Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) and apprehended 14 people.
ATS Probe: Searching for Module Links
Following the revelation of doctors’ involvement, the ATS is now investigating individuals linked to the Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent module. It is also examining possible connections between the two modules. In this regard, an ATS team has conducted searches in Delhi as well.

Online Radicalisation of Female Students Abroad
Sources indicate that Shaheen used to contact female students studying abroad through online platforms. She allegedly brainwashed them into joining an organisation called Jamaat-ul-Momineen. Under the pretext of offering guidance, she gradually drew them into suspicious activities. It is said that Shaheen had also visited Jammu and Kashmir several times and provided logistical support to terrorists.
Face-to-Face Interrogation with Brother Planned
Dr Shaheen and her brother, Dr Parvez, are now set to be interrogated face-to-face. So far, both have been questioned separately. The ATS will also probe Dr Muzammil, who has been arrested in the same case, to gather details about his links with Parvez. It has been revealed that Parvez communicated with his contacts only through a keypad phone.
Silence in Muttakipur: Fear and Speculation Among Locals
On Wednesday, silence prevailed outside Parvez’s house in Muttakipur. Residents stayed indoors, avoiding any movement. His acquaintance, Farukh, said he often sought medical advice from Parvez online and received medication names via WhatsApp. Parvez’s profile picture reportedly displayed a scenic landscape.
Shock Among Neighbours and Old Memories
Residents of Khandaari Bazaar in Kaisarbagh said Parvez used to play cricket in the neighbourhood but had stopped visiting recently. Locals were deeply shocked upon learning of Parvez and Shaheen’s alleged involvement in terror activities.
Local Buzz: Panic After Explosions and Raids
Following Parvez’s arrest, ATS operations in Takwa Colony and nearby areas became the talk of the town. Since morning, people had gathered outside his house. An elderly man named Ishtiaq said Parvez rarely interacted with anyone. A youth added that Parvez once faced controversy for reading the Quran on his mobile inside a mosque. Village elders expressed regret that some outsiders involved in wrongful acts were tarnishing the reputation of the entire area.
