On Wednesday (October 8) evening around 7:30 PM, a powerful explosion shook the Mishri Bazaar area near Markas Wali Masjid in Moolganj police station jurisdiction, creating panic among locals. The blast was so intense that it was heard from up to 500 meters away. People ran onto the streets in fear following the sudden explosion.
Blast Causes Panic, Shops and Homes Damaged
The force of the blast caused cracks in the walls of several nearby shops and houses. Five people sustained injuries and were immediately admitted to Ursula Hospital by police teams present at the site. Following the incident, forces from Moolganj and nearby police stations, along with a bomb squad team, reached the spot.
The police have cordoned off the area and initiated investigations. Preliminary checks have not yet determined the cause of the explosion. Officials stated that forensic and bomb disposal teams are conducting a detailed investigation, and the exact reason will be clear once reports are received.
