Expelled from the Samajwadi Party, Chail MLA Pooja Pal from Kaushambi once again made headlines on Thursday. At the circuit house, she touched the feet of Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, and he, in return, raised his hand to bless her.
During her interaction with reporters, Pooja Pal said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Deputy CM Keshav Maurya are like guardians to her. She added that she received justice in her husband Raju Pal’s murder case because of the Yogi government.
Therefore, she cross-voted in the Rajya Sabha elections. She also campaigned for BJP candidates in the Phulpur Assembly by-poll and the Bihar Assembly elections. However, when asked when she would join the BJP or whether she planned to contest from Chail or Allahabad West on a BJP ticket, she said she works according to instructions. In fact, the final decision will be taken only by the BJP’s top leadership.
Keshav Maurya reacts to Akhilesh Yadav
Meanwhile, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya strongly reacted to a recent statement by SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. He said that after returning from the Bihar elections, Akhilesh had become unwell, and his mental balance had also deteriorated. However, he added that neither reservation nor the Constitution will ever be abolished.
Visiting Prayagraj for the first time after the Bihar election, Keshav told reporters at the Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad Circuit House that Akhilesh thought he was getting closer to power in 2027, but even in 2047, he has no chance left.
On Congress deciding to contest the panchayat elections alone, he said this was their own issue, and whether they fight alone or with others, the lotus will still bloom. Moreover, he said BJP workers are making sure no voter is left out during the electoral roll revision.
He added that the party has assigned CM Yogi and both Deputy CMs the responsibility for 25 districts each, and he is beginning this work from Prayagraj. He advised all BLOs not to get influenced by Mamata Banerjee, Rahul Gandhi or Akhilesh Yadav. They should, instead, perform their duty honestly and responsibly.
Finally, he said suicide is not a solution to any problem, and those who practice appeasement politics added the names of some infiltrators to the voter list, which must now be removed.
