Don’t Buy Halal-Certified Products: CM Yogi Says Funds Used for Terrorism, Love Jihad, and Religious Conversions

CM Yogi said that when the government began investigating the issue, it was found that Halal certification was being used in a business worth ₹25,000 crore across the country. He claimed that neither the central nor the state government has recognised these certifying bodies.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made a major announcement on Tuesday (October 21), stating that Halal certification has been completely banned in Uttar Pradesh. From now on, no organisation will be allowed to sell products in the state with a Halal certificate.

Exploitation in the Name of Halal Certification: Yogi

CM Yogi said that when the government began investigating the issue, it was found that Halal certification was being used in a business worth ₹25,000 crore across the country. He claimed that neither the central nor the state government has recognised these certifying bodies.

Yogi Adityanath alleged that the money earned through this process is being misused for terrorism, ‘love jihad’, and religious conversions.

Halal Soap and Clothes Too: CM’s Sarcastic Remark

CM expressed surprise that nowadays even soap and clothes carry Halal labels, which he said is completely illegal. He urged the public to always check whether the product they are buying has a Halal certification.

Warning of Strict Action

CM Yogi said that the Uttar Pradesh government is taking strict action against such practices. He stated that consumers are being exploited in the name of Halal certification, and the government has now begun taking tough measures against it.

He cited an example, mentioning that a man named ‘Chhangur’ was arrested in Balrampur and sent to jail for being part of this conspiracy.

Pay GST, Not Halal ‘Tax’

The Chief Minister appealed to the public to make sure they pay GST when buying goods, but not a single penny should be paid in the name of Halal certification. He said that any money paid for Halal-certified products is used in anti-national conspiracies.

Raises Concerns Over Political Islam

CM Yogi said that while there is often discussion about the country’s fight against British colonial rule, there is rarely any talk about Political Islam. He added that heroes like Veer Shivaji and Maharana Pratap not only fought against foreign rule but also resisted Political Islam.

Direct Attack on Congress and SP

In his address, the Chief Minister also targeted the Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP). He said that Congress denied the existence of Lord Ram and Krishna, and had submitted an affidavit in court calling them myths.

He accused the SP of firing on Ram devotees during their protests.

Mentions of Ram Temple and Prayagraj Kumbh

CM Yogi stated that today, the whole world is coming to Ayodhya to see Lord Ram. Last year, 6 crore (60 million) devotees visited Ayodhya, while over 66 crore (660 million) people participated in the Prayagraj Kumbh.

He claimed that parties like SP and Congress have always criticised these religious events from the beginning.
