Lost But Not Alone: Deaf Child Found in Lucknow, Meets the Chief Minister, the Picture speaks it All

Keeping women’s safety in mind, Inspector Singh brought the child to the police station. Then, he called a translator who could understand her gestures. As a result, the translator learned that the girl was from Kanpur.

A young girl named Khushi left Kanpur alone three days ago to meet Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow. However, during late-night patrolling, the station in-charge of Hazratganj, Inspector Vikram Singh, noticed the child standing by herself. Therefore, he walked up to her and gently tried to speak. Soon after, he found that the girl was deaf and mute, and so she could neither hear nor speak.

Police Act Quickly; CM Orders Shelter and Treatment

Meanwhile, keeping women’s safety in mind, Inspector Singh brought the child to the police station. Then, he called a translator who could understand her gestures. As a result, the translator learned that the girl was from Kanpur. Moreover, she had drawn a painting of the Chief Minister on paper, which clearly showed that she had come to Lucknow only to meet him.

After that, Inspector Singh explained through signs that she should give him time till the next day. Additionally, he assured her that he would arrange her meeting with the Chief Minister. Consequently, due to his continuous efforts, the girl finally received blessings from the Chief Minister today. Furthermore, she shared her pain with him using gestures.

Immediately after listening, the Chief Minister directed his secretary to arrange her stay in Lucknow. In addition, he ordered her treatment at Vedanta Hospital. Finally, he said clearly, “I only want to hear this child’s voice. Even if the treatment costs crores, let it be done. The government will spare no expense.”

CM Assures Full Medical Support to Deaf Child

Khushi’s father, Kallu Gupta, said that his daughter cannot speak or hear. After learning about her condition, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath assured the family that the government would arrange for her treatment and that he would personally take responsibility for her welfare in the future.

Housing Facility to Be Provided Soon

When the Chief Minister asked about their living conditions, the family explained that they currently live in a rented room. On hearing this, the Chief Minister immediately instructed officials to ensure that proper housing is provided to them as soon as possible.

Education and Rehabilitation Promised

The Chief Minister said that arrangements would be made not only for Khushi’s treatment but also for her education, so that she can become self-reliant in the future. He added that Khushi’s family is now like his own family and that he regards her as his own daughter.

Family Praises CM’s Compassion

Kallu Gupta, a resident of Kanpur’s Gwaltoli area, said that the Chief Minister first arranged breakfast for them and then met the entire family. He praised the Chief Minister’s behaviour, saying that he treated them with great respect and listened patiently to all their problems.

The Chief Minister assured the family that they would not face any difficulties in the future and reaffirmed that he would provide them with complete support.

The police’s compassion and the government’s swift support changed a child’s journey into hope. Therefore, this case proves that timely empathy can rebuild lives and restore faith.
