CM Yogi paid floral tribute to former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birth anniversary. He offered flowers at Atal Ji’s statue at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow.
At the same time, CM also remembered Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya and Raja Bijli Pasi on their birth anniversaries. Additionally, he extended Christmas greetings to the Christian community.
Atal Ji’s Birth Centenary Being Celebrated Nationwide
While speaking on the occasion, CM Yogi said that today marks the sacred birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He highlighted that Atal Ji represented Lucknow as a Member of Parliament and later served the nation as PM.
Moreover, he added that Atal Ji gave India a new vision of development. This year is special as Atal Ji’s birth centenary is being celebrated across the country with enthusiasm.
As a result, many programs have been organised in educational institutions. These include poetry recitals, debates on his writings, and discussions on his speeches in Parliament and at international forums.
Atal Vajpayee’s Deep Connection with UP
Furthermore, CM Yogi said that Atal Ji’s ancestral village is Bateshwar in Agra district. He completed his higher education in Kanpur. Later, he began his public life from Balrampur.
Importantly, Atal Ji represented Uttar Pradesh in Parliament for the longest time. His life and work continue to inspire the people of the country.
Tribute to Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya
In addition, CM Yogi remembered Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya on his birth anniversary. He described him as a great nationalist and freedom fighter.
He noted that Malviya Ji founded Banaras Hindu University in 1916, which gave a new direction to Indian education. For his service to the nation, he was honoured with the Bharat Ratna.
Salute to Maharaja Bijli Pasi
Similarly, CM Yogi paid tribute to Maharaja Bijli Pasi on his birth anniversary. He said that Bijli Pasi was a brave warrior from Lucknow who protected India’s ancient traditions.
He fought foreign invaders with courage and determination. CM added that the government is restoring Bijli Pasi’s forts and honouring all warriors linked to this legacy.
Christmas Greetings to the Christian Community
Finally, CM Yogi extended Christmas greetings to Christian brothers and sisters. He assured that the government will ensure peace and harmony so that everyone can celebrate the festival joyfully.
