Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed police and administrative officials to strictly enforce the state’s zero-tolerance policy against Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators. He instructed that verification must be carried out so thoroughly that no intruder is able to escape detection. He also emphasised strong action against crimes against women and against those who disturb social harmony. According to him, strong law and order is the foundation of development.
Importance of Public Representatives and Party Workers
The Chief Minister stressed that strengthening democratic processes requires active participation at all levels. He said the feedback from party workers and representatives is valuable, and continuous communication ensures better coordination. This, he added, enhances the effectiveness of any government campaign. Yogi stated that the ground-level experience of public representatives plays a crucial role in smoothly conducting voter list revision drives and other such important processes. He highlighted that regular public engagement is the true strength of democratic values.
Review of Development Works
Yogi Adityanath urged public representatives to pay special attention to the quality and timely completion of development projects. He advised them to clearly communicate local needs to officials and maintain strong coordination among elected representatives, party leaders, and administrators. Such coordination, he noted, directly benefits citizens through better development, good governance, and overall progress. He also reviewed the status of Ramayana Vatika and other ongoing projects.
Arrangements for Night Shelters
With cold weather intensifying, the Chief Minister instructed representatives to ensure proper arrangements for night shelters in their areas. He asked them to conduct surprise inspections to check facilities and ensure that no one is forced to sleep under the open sky. He also directed that bonfires be arranged at public places. After the meeting, Yogi visited Mayor Umesh Gautam’s residence to extend wedding wishes to his son and daughter-in-law, and later attended the wedding of Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar’s son at the IVRI grounds before returning to Lucknow.
Dispute Over Vehicle Entry at Circuit House
While the Chief Minister’s meeting was underway, police personnel stopped vehicles of some BJP leaders at the Circuit House gate. This led to an argument, with leaders claiming the action was inappropriate. Although the vehicles were eventually permitted, the leaders entered briefly and then immediately came out of the premises.
Woman Attempting to Meet CM Removed by Police
Outside the Circuit House, a woman attempted to meet the Chief Minister, alleging that negligence at a hospital caused her husband’s death and that even the post-mortem was denied. She insisted on meeting Yogi Adityanath, but the police removed her from the spot citing security protocols.
