Ayodhya is once again preparing for a grand religious celebration as the second anniversary of Ram Lalla’s Pran Pratishtha is set to be observed on December 31. The temple town is gearing up for a series of devotional and cultural events, drawing pilgrims from across the country.
Although the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla took place on January 22, 2024, the anniversary is being calculated according to the Hindu calendar. Therefore, since the ritual occurred on the Dwadasi Tithi of the Paush Shukla Paksha, the commemorative dates differ from the Gregorian calendar. The first anniversary was marked on January 11, 2025, and the second will now be celebrated on December 31.
Religious rituals will begin on December 27 and will continue for five days under the supervision of Jagadguru Madhvacharya. Meanwhile, the main ceremonial event will be held on December 31, followed by rituals that will continue until January 2, 2026.
