On Saturday, a Tehsil Diwas program was organised in the Ghatampur Tehsil auditorium. During this event, under Mission Shakti, Apsa Kausar, a class 11 student from Ashok Nagar North, was made SDM for one day. Similarly, Kajal Yadav, a class 10 student from Kushmanda Nagar, was assigned the responsibility of Tehsildar. Both students arrived at the venue and attentively listened to the complaints of the public. People were astonished to see them acting as SDM and Tehsildar for the day.

Initiative to boost morale

Ghatampur SDM Avichal Pratap Singh said that giving these responsibilities to the girls would boost their confidence. He added that the girls could achieve such positions permanently in the future through hard work and dedication toward their studies.

Public reaction

However, people discussed that such an opportunity should have also been given to students from government schools. They believed it would have encouraged them and inspired them to move forward.
