The Jammu & Kashmir Police have carried out a major operation in Faridabad, Haryana. A rented room belonging to a doctor in the Dhaauj area of Faridabad was found to contain a large quantity of RDX. From the room, police recovered 14 bags, two automatic pistols, 84 live cartridges, five liters of chemicals, and an AK-47 rifle. The discovery has caused panic in the local area. According to police sources, the recovery was made based on the disclosure of arrested terror suspect Mujahil Shakeel.

Interrogation Reveals Explosive Stockpile in Doctor’s Room

Sources stated that the accused had been detained by the Jammu & Kashmir Police two days earlier. During interrogation, details provided by the doctor led investigators to his rented room in Faridabad. From there, officers recovered 14 bags of RDX, two pistols, 84 cartridges, five liters of chemical substance, and an AK-47. The presence of such a large quantity of RDX has raised serious security concerns, indicating the possibility of a major terror plot.

Trail Leads From Anantnag Doctor to Saharanpur, Then Faridabad

The J&K Police had earlier arrested Anantnag resident Dr. Adil Ahmed from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, for alleged links with Jaish-e-Mohammed. Following this development, the Kashmir Police reached Faridabad, where Kashmiri-origin doctor Mujahil Shakeel had taken a room on rent. The 14 bags recovered from the room contained nearly 300 kg of RDX, an AK-47 rifle, cartridges, and chemicals. According to information, the accused had rented the room about three months earlier. During the raid, around 10–12 police vehicles reached the spot. The accused doctor is now in custody, and the module is being investigated across four states—Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Gujarat. The landlord was reportedly told by the doctor that he only needed the room to store belongings, and thus no one checked the bags.

Input From Hyderabad; Weapons and Cartridges Seized

DIG of ATS Sunil Joshi stated that intelligence inputs indicated that a Hyderabad resident, Syed Ahmad Mohiuddin, was involved in terror activities and was expected to arrive in Ahmedabad. After confirming his movements, he was arrested near the Adalaj toll plaza. From his possession, police recovered two Glock pistols, one Beretta pistol, 30 live cartridges, and four liters of castor oil.

Accused Was Preparing Ricin Poison

Mohiuddin, aged around 35–36, had studied MBBS in China. He intended to carry out an attack that could cause mass casualties. He was in contact with several foreign individuals and linked to a Telegram ID named “Abu Khadija,” suspected to be associated with ISKP (Islamic State – Khorasan Province) and had begun the process of making ricin, an extremely lethal chemical poison produced from waste material left after processing castor seeds. He had come to Ahmedabad after collecting a consignment of weapons from Kalol.
