Following the car explosion near Red Fort on Monday (November 10) evening, 11 states—Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh—were placed on high alert.
Police in Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have also intensified surveillance. CISF has heightened security at IGI Airport and metro stations across Delhi-NCR. Maharashtra Police is on alert, with tightened security at key sites including Mumbai landmarks and the RSS headquarters in Nagpur.

UP on High Alert; Tight Security in Ayodhya, Kashi, Mathura
Uttar Pradesh is on maximum alert. Ashok Singh of Amroha died in the blast, while three people from Deoria, Agra and Ghaziabad were injured.
Post CM Yogi’s directions, security has been tightened in Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura. Police patrolling has increased in temples, markets, railway stations and public spaces. QRT and ATS units remain on standby.
Haryana Raises NCR Security; Police Leaves Cancelled
Security has been upgraded in NCR-linked districts including Gurugram. Intense checking is underway at bus stands, railway stations and metro stations.
Hotels, dharamshalas, parking areas and public transport are under surveillance. At Jhajjar, Gurugram and Sonipat borders, vehicles are allowed only after detailed checking. Police personnel have had their leaves cancelled.
Uttarakhand Police on Alert Across 13 Districts
All 13 districts of Uttarakhand are on alert. Dehradun, Haridwar, Roorkee and Udham Singh Nagar are under strict monitoring.
Extra patrolling has been deployed at temples, markets and railway stations. BDS, dog squads, Cheetah mobile units and patrol vehicles are active. Harshul Sethi from Udham Singh Nagar was injured in the Delhi blast.
Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Intensify Vigil in Crowded Zones
Punjab has instructed all Commissioners and SSPs to remain vigilant. Police deployment has increased in sensitive and crowded locations.
Vehicles and suspicious persons are being checked. Authorities have urged citizens to report any doubtful activity. Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh have also issued alerts.
Chhattisgarh Conducts Heavy Checking; Raipur Under Tight Watch
Chhattisgarh Police has stepped up inspections at bus stands, railway stations and malls.
In Raipur, foot-patrolling has intensified. Officials are monitoring railway stations, the airport, the High Court, hotels and other busy points continuously.
Madhya Pradesh: Security Boosted in Major Cities; Mahakal Temple Checked
Amid high alert, Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior and Jabalpur witnessed extensive checking.
DGP Kailash Makwana held a video-conference review with SPs and IGs. In Ujjain, security was tightened at the Mahakal Temple, with bomb squads and dog squads inspecting hotels, lodges and vehicles nearby.
Rajasthan on High Alert; Security at Temples, Stations and Airports
Across Rajasthan—especially Jaipur—security agencies are in high-alert mode.
Checkpoints have been strengthened at malls, railway stations, airports and busy areas. Leaves of police personnel have been cancelled. RAC teams have been deployed outside Ajmer’s Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Dargah.
Bihar Steps Up Checks on Nepal Border; Election Phase Adds Pressure
Bihar is on high alert, with seven Nepal-bordering districts under strict checking.
With the second phase of voting scheduled for Tuesday, surveillance at bus stands, railway stations and incoming vehicles has increased. Security at stations in Patna, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur and Gaya has been reinforced. ATS carried out checks at Patna Junction.
Faridabad: Al-Falah University Surrounded; Mosques Searched
Faridabad Police cordoned off Al-Falah University and initiated internal searches.
This comes after three arrested doctors linked to the 2,900 kg explosives case were found associated with the university. Police also searched mosques in Fatehpur Taga village.
Family of Terror Suspect Dr Umar Detained; DNA Samples Taken
Kashmir Police has detained the mother and brother of Dr Umar, the terrorist involved in the Delhi car blast.

Both are being questioned, and DNA samples have been collected to confirm the identity of Umar’s recovered body.
