India is celebrating its 76th Constitution Day across the nation with joy and respect. Meanwhile, special programmes were also organised in different districts of Uttar Pradesh. The main event took place in the Lok Bhavan auditorium in the state capital, Lucknow, where Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was present. On this occasion, participants collectively read the Preamble of the Constitution, and therefore, a formal oath-taking ceremony was also held.
Addressing the gathering, CM Yogi extended warm wishes to the people of the state on Constitution Day. He said that this day stands as a symbol of India’s democratic strength; moreover, it gives everyone a chance to recall the core spirit of the Constitution and to reaffirm their commitment to follow it.
CM Yogi said that the Indian Constitution is based on fundamental values such as justice, equality and fraternity. Furthermore, he paid tribute to Bharat Ratna Dr B R Ambedkar, saying that because of his remarkable vision, sharp ideas and tireless efforts, India received a strong Constitution that represents some of the world’s most powerful democratic principles.
He added that the Constitution is the foundation of national unity, integrity and continuous progress. In addition, it not only guides the country but also ensures equal rights, dignity and opportunities to every citizen.
A large number of officials, employees and representatives attended the programme held at Lok Bhavan. Moreover, the Chief Minister’s presence gave the event special significance. During the collective reading of the Preamble, the entire auditorium was filled with respect for the nation’s democratic heritage.
