Ayodhya is immersed in a deeply devotional and festive atmosphere as the city marks the second anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla at the grand Ram Temple. Amid chants of “Jai Shri Ram” echoing across the holy town, a large number of devotees are arriving to seek blessings, especially with the New Year adding to the spiritual fervour. As a result, the coincidence of Pratishtha Dwadashi, the farewell to the old year, and the welcome of the New Year has created a rare and joyful convergence for pilgrims.
Meanwhile, celebrations organised by the Ram Temple Trust have already begun at Angad Tila. On the second day, devotees continued to witness the musical recitation of the Ramcharitmanas, which, in turn, offered a simple yet profound narration of Lord Ram’s life. At the same time, Ram Katha sessions allowed devotees to connect with key episodes of the epic, while cultural performances added colour and warmth to the celebrations.
Grand preparations and high-level presence
In addition, all preparations for the main ceremony scheduled on December 31 have been completed. A grand pandal has been set up, and security agencies are maintaining strict vigilance across the temple town. Notably, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and CM Yogi are expected to attend the main event. During the ceremony, the Defence Minister will perform the aarti of Ram Lalla. Furthermore, the flag will be hoisted atop the Annapurna Temple within the Ram Janmabhoomi complex, symbolising prosperity and devotion.
Overall, Ayodhya continues to witness an extraordinary blend of faith, celebration, and cultural heritage, as devotees from across the country come together to mark this sacred occasion with devotion and hope for the year ahead.
