The 49th edition of the India Carpet Expo, held in Bhadohi, received an enthusiastic response from importers. Over the span of three days, around 210 foreign buyers from across the world marked their presence at the expo.
Indian Representatives of 178 Buyers Also Attend
Organised by the Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC), the expo also saw participation from Indian representatives of 178 international buyers. Exporters showcased their latest designs and colorful products, which successfully drew the attention of global buyers.
Positive Feedback from Global Importers: CEPC Chairman
CEPC Chairman Kuldeep R. Wattal shared that exporters received positive feedback from visiting importers and their Indian agents. He thanked all the participating exporters for their active involvement and support in making the expo a success.

Export Orders Placed on Third Day
The Chairman mentioned that several importers placed export orders on the third day of the expo. Over the past three days, importers and their representatives have conducted business transactions at the event. Wattal noted that almost all exhibitors were visited by buyers and trade discussions are still ongoing.
Call for Continued Support from Exporters
Wattal urged all member exporters to continue their cooperation and support for the greater interest of the Indian handmade carpet industry. He expressed hope that the expo would lead to good business and generate new orders in the future.
Government Officials Visit Expo
The expo was also visited by Uttar Pradesh Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Cooperatives, JPS Rathore, Mirzapur DM Pawan Gangwar, and Bhadohi District Judge Akhilesh Dubey, who took a tour and observed the exhibited products.

For the success of the fair, organising committee members such as Mohd. Wasif Ansari, Anil Singh, Alam Mehboob, Bodhraj Malhotra, Deepak Khanna, Hussain Zafar Husaini, Imtiaz Ahmad, Piyush Barnwal, Suryamani Tiwari, Sanjay Gupta, Mahavir Pratap Sharma, Meraj Yaseen Jan, Mukesh Kumar Gomber, Ravi Patodia, Shaukat Khan, Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad, and Rohit Gupta have been extending their special support continuously.

CEPC’s Acting Executive Director, Dr. Smita Nagarkoti, stated that the expo is an important platform to enhance global market participation, and exporters are making the most of this valuable opportunity.
